Come alongside our dedicated riders in raising funds to promote education, safe housing, health clinics, and micro-businesses in rural Haiti.
This past year Haiti has experiences political insecurity and
civil unrest, combined with a recent earthquake, have resulted in
economic crisis and extreme food shortages in Haiti. Two of our
partner communities are located where the earthquake caused serious
damage. We are partnering with the leaders in those communities to
help rebuild homes for those who need help.
Haiti H2O: Hope
to Opportunity is a development organization based in
Pittsburgh partnering to transform hope into opportunity in rural
Haiti. Our approach is to take time to listen to local leaders and
invest in their ideas, empowering them to make positive change.
We currently work with four rural communities in areas such as
education, health and sanitation, business initiatives, home
construction, and livestock cooperatives
. Haiti H2O invests the money raised to impact the lives of
people in rural Haiti!
Current projects include:
Completion of a new school building in Meloniere
Quarterly Medical Clinics in Plain Matin and Bassin Caiman
Rebuilding homes destroyed by the 2021 earthquake in St. Martin
and Plain Matin
Establishing micro-businesses opportunities in Plain
Matin
Livestock cooperatives and farmer training in all
four communities
The Bike4Haiti helps to fund these partnerships and projects
that provide opportunities to climb out of the poverty trap that
grips so many in rural Haiti.
