Jacob's Ride hasn't added a story.
Gradually growing deaf by age 10, Jacob Landis, recieved a cochlear implant (CI) and rejoined the hearing world. Jacob completed middle school and high school and junior college as a regular student.
Since receiving his CI, Jacob has come to believe his deafness has a special purpose. He is fully aware of the difference a CI has made in his life and is profoundly grateful. In 2013, while working full time and attending the Univeristy of Maryland, Jacob decided to combine his two passions--cycling and baseball--in an effort to help others with hearing loss. He rode his bike cross country to all 30 major league baseball statiums, rasing funds for those who could benefit from a cochlear implant but cannot afford one.
Jacob's since ridden thousands of mile beside, Jacob has met with hundreds of cochlear implant candidates and their families. He has spoken at medical conferences and to college engineering students about the designing of devices for those with special needs.
Jacob's Ride has helped over a dozen children recieve a cochlear implant and join the hearing world and hopes to help at least two by more then end of this year. Please help!
