The last few months have been pretty hectic for RCBTR. Our President decided that it was necessary to find a property to have a kennel and land in order to continue taking in the amount of dogs that are in need. Last year RCBTR took in approximately 95 dogs! This number is quite overwhelming when you only have a handful of foster homes. Our main location always has the majority of the rescued dogs and this location is also a home. When there isn't any room for another dog in need RCBTR makes the room. There have been 10+ RCBTR dogs in this location/home at one time!
That being said, RCBTR has relocated to a property where there is a house and separate building that will eventually be turned into a kennel. This property has no fence which makes it impossible to exercise all the dogs at this location. They must be leash walked for now. The other concern is that there are several neighbors who let their dogs roam free, which is a huge safety concern. So we need a fence to be able to exercise and keep the dogs safe.
This property will take time to get to where is needs to be, but the first step is fencing the perimeter and we have an estimate for that:
- Approximately 690 feet of 4 foot chain link fence
- One 12 foot x 4 foot driveway gate
- Two 4 foot x 4 foot walkway gates
- All materials and installation
