Help us keep Peru's first green school alive — our first goal.
The school is already open. The children are already learning.
Corazón del Bosque opened its doors in February in Ollantaytambo, Cusco, in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Right now, 35 children are in their second school term, supported by a dedicated team of 11: teachers, a psychologist, and support staff.
We're not asking you to fund a dream. We're asking you to help us sustain something real.
We believed in this school before we asked anyone else to.
Since February, the parents and educators who make up the Corazón del Bosque Educational Association have been funding the school through individual donations — three months of financing a team of the best teachers for our children.
Now we need to go further — and we can't do it alone.
— Why this school matters —
In Ollantaytambo, more than 70% of children are not reaching the learning milestones expected for their age. Over the last two decades, the region has lost more than 16,000 hectares of land to drought and wildfires — a crisis that will define these children's lives if we don't act now.
Corazón del Bosque exists to change that. Our vision: Peru's first green school, where children are agents of change, where curiosity flourishes, individuality is respected, and every child grows into a brave leader capable of healing and protecting our planet.
— Goal 1: what we need right now —
$15,000 in 10 days to cover operating expenses for this new term.
That's $1,500 a day. It's a motivated teacher showing up to the classroom. It's a psychologist supporting a child. It's a director keeping everything running. It's a school trip that fills them with wonder, inspiration, and learning.
Once we reach Goal 1, we'll launch Goal 2. Your donation today activates a chain that can sustain this school for the entire year.
🌱 Donate $50 or more and your name will be painted on the Wall of Honor — made by the children, for the people who believed in them.

Why is a new school necessary in this area?
There is currently no school in Ollantaytambo that provides an alternative education. Adding to this is the fact that almost 70% of local children do not achieve the expected learning outcomes for their age. This school will provide a quality education that respects their individuality, values their ideas, and helps them turn those ideas into reality. It will empower them as agents of change in an environment where they can be happy.
Who will be the direct beneficiaries of the project?
The direct beneficiaries in the first year will be 35 children from initial (pre-school/kindergarten) and primary education in Ollantaytambo, and to a lesser extent, from Urubamba.
Is it a public, private, or NGO-managed school?
It will be a community-managed school, operated by our NGO, Asociación Educativa Corazón del Bosque. Our model seeks to build an educational proposal that can be shared with public schools and teachers to contribute to the community.
What is the total amount needed to be raised, and where will my money go?
In this first campaign, we need to raise 15 thousand dollars. The contributions we receive will be allocated to the school's operation: paying trained and motivated teachers, resources and materials for the children, and most importantly, paying the tuition fees for the children to make quality education accessible to all.
What happens if the fundraising goal is not met?
This campaign uses the "Keep It All" (KIA) model. If we do not reach the goal, the funds raised will be allocated to cover the most critical phase of the project, and we will continue to seek additional funding for our children. Your donation will always be used for the project.
How will transparency in the use of funds be guaranteed?
We will publish a detailed financial report at the end of the campaign and upon the conclusion of each stage. All donors will be invited to receive a periodic newsletter with project updates by leaving their email address.
What organization is behind this campaign?
The campaign is driven by the non-profit organization Asociación Educativa Corazón del Bosque, registered in Peru with RUC 20614635879. It was formed by a group of parents who fell in love with the school and refused to let it disappear after seeing the potential and happiness it brought to so many children and what it can do for many more.
Is it possible to visit the school?
We have an educational tourism program if you would like to visit us, you can arrange it through a travel agency or by contacting us directly through our social media.
What are the rewards for donating?
Donors will receive a virtual postcard with images of the school and a thank you message from the children. We believe this school will be the fruit of a collective effort; therefore, we will recognize our major donors on a mural that we will create with the children so that everyone knows who contributed their grain of sand to making this dream a reality.
What payment method can I use to donate?
We accept donations through PayPal. Follow the steps on the crowdfunding platform to complete your payment securely.
I am a professional/company, how else can I collaborate?
We appreciate your interest and willingness to continue supporting us. Besides monetary donations, you can collaborate through: donating materials, sponsoring a student's education, or sponsoring the implementation of classrooms, among other forms of assistance.
