Below we will outline, in more detail, the vision and goals of The Conscious Agora, a few of our community members, the property we are considering, and what we are offering in exchange for your support!

What Is The Conscious Agora?

The Conscious Agora is an off-grid, self-sustaining ecovillage and Holistic Education Center created by a dedicated, diverse group of change makers.

Our mission is to advance individual, collective, and universal healing and liberation through our personal lifestyles, while supporting others in doing the same by offering permaculture courses, spiritual retreats, activist trainings, and musical gatherings presented by some of the most innovative minds in their fields.We are designing not only our own village but also a well-researched, replicable template for other dreamers and doers to use as a model. Our intention is for The Conscious Agora to be part of an extensive network of interconnected communities that foster a new paradigm for Earth and all its inhabitants.

THE LAND

We have identified the property and future home of The Conscious Agora. Located in beautiful Michoacán, Mexico!

Michoacán is a mountainous region known for the culture, its vast bodies of water and rich soils. We fell in love with the wooded and open hills, the springs and fresh mountain water, the crisp air, the fruit trees already thriving on the property, the supportive neighbors, and the opportunity for growth! The land is surrounded by creeks, waterfalls, local sustainable communities, farmers, and great spots for rock climbing, hiking, biking, creating an enriching experience for adventurers.

Morelia is the nearest major city and the capital of Michoacán with an international airport for easier access to the property and surrounding attractions.

THE VISION

The Conscious Agora will be a space to grow food, harvest rainwater, steward the land, and integrate alternative energy systems with the aim to become independent from "the grid". Additionally, TCA will be offering a wide range of in-person courses, workshops, and retreats on the land.

Organically Grown Crops - Using the principles of permaculture, we will grow and sell organically grown fruits and vegetables, as well as handmade products. We want to teach you how to do the same!

"During the last 10-12 years of my life I’ve often imagined myself being involved in a project like this. There are many established eco-village and intentional communities around the world that are doing amazing things in their efforts to reduce dependencies on the societal grid and reduce human inflicted damage to the Earth. What I find unique and especially appealing about The Conscious Agora is that, not only does the project aim to create an eco-friendly existence independent from the grid, we will be doing so in accordance with the fundamental principles of voluntarism. With an understanding that the human spirit has an innate desire to be free, we feel strongly that a community’s success and longevity is relative to how much it values individual autonomy. We also understand how important knowledge and skill sharing is with regard to positively effecting human and societal change.
