Canadian Centre for Men and Families hasn't added a story.
Footsteps for Fathers brings men, families, and communities together to raise awareness about the distress that men experience when relationship breakdown occurs.
On Father’s Day we will walk together...
Your contribution will help fund Fueling Fathers , a new workshop and webinar series to boost fathers’ parenting capacity, confidence, and mental health and wellness.
Join our community of people who believe that men deserve the best possible chance to be heard, understood, and live to their potential.
Canadian Centre for Men and Families (CCMF) Alberta supports men through relationship distress and helps equip them to create a better future for themselves and their families.
HOW WE WORK
Our programs and approach to engaging with our clients are grounded in these guiding principles:
- compassion
- belonging
- agency for men
These programs equip men to manage stressful situations, rebuild themselves, and minimize the chances of escalating to an acute mental health crisis.
| OUR IMPACT Over the last year, CCMF Alberta has helped hundreds of men improve their mental health.
|
We have been operating in Alberta since 2016 as the local branch of a national charity.
“My focus on positive parenting practices has been heightened.”
Improving men’s mental health empowers them to be engaged dads, safer workers, and contributing members of their communities.
THE NEED IS GREAT
Men face the realities of relationship breakdown in a way that is unique.
CCMF Alberta has seen a 6-fold increase in client inquiries over the last two years.
With worsened mental health compared to before the pandemic, we expect this trend of growing need to continue.
“I am not alone. Just knowing others have gone through this is somehow empowering.”
