Bronx-based Danza Fiesta, is the premier Puerto Rican folk dance ensemble outside of Puerto Rico. Gilda Rivera-Pantojas founded Danza Fiesta in 1998 with the goal of sharing the Puerto Rican culture and folkloric traditions with the rest of the world. To further its mission Danza Fiesta merged with Diversity in Arts and Nations for Cultural Education, Inc. (DANCE) a 501 c 3 arts organization.

Our dancers, musicians, artistic contributors, staff, and volunteers are actively involved in all of DANCE’s cultural, artistic, and educational projects, which has impacted thousands of people over the years.

In 2012,

• Danza Fiesta performed for more than 15,000 individuals around NYC, the Northeast, and Puerto Rico;
• Through DANCE's Arts in Education programming, Danza Fiesta artists provided free or low-costs classes, workshops, and performances to over 2,800 individuals residing in under-served communities; and
• As the hosting Ensemble-In-Residence of the South Bronx Folk Festival, Danza Fiesta provided free access to the arts to over 500 attendees and shared the stage with over 54 artists and participants.
