What we do.
The Lethbridge Folk Club intends to renew it’s energy and commitment to Folk Music in Lethbridge by continuing to provide a venue for new and emerging local and regional artists, supporting entertainment, educational and community initiatives that enhance the live music experience for all, protect our sustainability by becoming a community organization bringing more music to more people in more places in Lethbridge and Southern Alberta.

What’s happening at Porchfest.
Porchfest is a grassroots, neighbourhood-based music festival where local musicians perform on residents’ front porches, front lawns, or driveways, turning the entire community into a walkable, free concert venue. This inaugural free event will take place in the historic London Road Neighbourhood and the Fleetwood areas of Lethbridge.
How funds will be used.
Even though Porchfest is a family friendly free event we have costs in order to put this one-day festival together. Being our first year we have been able to receive some grants, most notably a Diamond Anniversary Fund grant from The Lethbridge Community Foundation and The City of Lethbridge’s Community Event Support Grant. The issue is how do we keep Lethbridge Porchfest going and making it an annual event. Funding won't always be there and we need your support.
The majority of these funds raised electronically will go directly to the performers playing at Porchfest.

To make it and exciting event we have to pay for sound equipment, signage, marketing and advertising and printing. Most importantly, because we believe strongly as an organization that we have to pay participating artists appropriate fees for their performances. The more we have to pay artists the more likely we will be able to bring artists you will really be excited to hear,
Lethbridge Porchfest runs on the last Saturday in August. This year that date is August 29th, between the hours of 12 noon and 9pm.
