Lighthouse Entertainment CIC is a social enterprise, set up to use entertainment to support good causes.
Throughout 2017 our 'Charity of the Year' will be Scotty's Little Soldiers, a charity which helps children who have lost a parent while serving in the British Armed Forces.
We intend to produce 'Safe Space', an independent feature length psychological thriller. The story is about two opportunist thieves, who take an agoraphobic man hostage when they break into his remote farmhouse. They torment the man and threaten to kill him, which means he must overcome his fears in order to survive his ordeal.
Once completed the film will be available on a special license for a period of six months, which will be exclusive to supporters of Scotty's Little Soldiers, for them to use as a fundraising vehicle. All funds raised by the supporters will go straight to Scotty's Little Soldiers.
After the six month period the film will be released UK and world-wide on DVD/Bluray, Video On Demand and other digital platforms. A percentage of profits from the sales will be donated by us to Scotty's Little Soldiers.
All cast and crew working of 'Safe Space' will be experienced professionals who are giving their time to work on the project as volunteers.
The money raised via Fundrazr will be used for the production costs of the feature film, which will include travel expenses, accommodation and food for the volunteer cast and crew, as well as wardrobe, make-up, props and other ad-hoc costs involved in the making of the film.
We are asking individuals, families and businesses to be part of our team and help us support a worthy charity.
We have completed the script and we are about to go into pre-production, which means we will be recruiting cast and crew that will give us a wider social media outreach.
The film will be shot using anamorphic lenses, which will give it a more film-like look.

We will purchase a full page in your local newspaper and let everyone know how grateful we are to you, for your support. You will receive a Sponsorship trophy, sponsorship certificate and a letter of thanks from us. You will receive 50 copies of the completed film on DVD, after the 6 month license period, that you can give out to clients and your staff. A day on set for 2 people to meet cast and crew during the shooting (£250 towards travel costs and a voucher for a 2 night stay for 2 will be provided.
