The Clean Vibes Trading Post is a 501(c)3 non profit organization.  All donations to this fundraiser are fully tax deductible.

The Clean Vibes Trading Post empowers patrons to act as environmental stewards through our action-oriented, incentive-based environmental education project. Our program provides a simple and effective model for engaging people to participate in waste diversion efforts, which increases the total waste diverted at your favorite festivals and positively impacts the events' environmental footprint. 

We want to be able to continue to reward you for your efforts. We want to support your passion for a more environmnetally aware atmosphere at events. Your monetary contribution to our campaign for a new vehicle will bring us closer to being able to attend even more festivals in 2016!

With the funds we raise for our new vehicle, the Clean Vibes Trading Post will continue to engage festival communities to build and to beautify, to strengthen the ties to the land we dance on.

Clean Vibes Trading Post's Story 

In 2008, at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN, the Clean Vibes Trading Post worked with event promoters, artists, and environmentally conscious companies to create a system of incentives to motivate fans to participate in recycling efforts. Fans could turn in pieces of recycling into the Clean Vibes Trading Post booth, collect points for each recycling piece, and later redeem their points for “prizes.” Prizes consisted of donations by the event producers, artists, and other eco-friendly companies. Examples include small prizes, such as sunscreen, to large prizes, such as free tickets to future events. Fans were excited about the opportunity to help keep Bonnaroo clean while earning cool prizes. The project was popular and effective!  Over the next few years the Clean VIbes Trading Post was present at several other music festivals - including SuperBall IX, Outside Lands, Camp Bisco, Forecastle, Gathering of the VIbes, and Tortuga.

In 2013 Clean Vibes Trading Post incorporated cigarette waste diversion into its programming with the help of Terracycle. Cigarette waste collected by patrons at events is shipped to Terracycle, where the company upcycles the materials into consumer products.

In its 8th year of operation (2015) the Clean Vibes Trading Post engaged 1,000+ attendees to participate. Patrons collected 350,000 pieces of recycling and 400,000 cigarette butts at seven events that year—totaling nearly 2.5 million pieces of recycling and over 1 million cigarette butts collected in eight years!
