Help Us Build a Veterinary Clinic to Save Stray Animals

My name is Evgeny Leonidovich Lyubimkin, a veterinarian with more than 10 years of professional experience. Throughout my career I have worked in veterinary clinics across Kazakhstan and abroad, helping thousands of animals.

Four years ago, my wife and I opened our own veterinary practice called VetSpectr. Our goal was simple: not only to treat pets with owners, but also to help animals that have no one to care for them.

Unfortunately, in many places veterinary medicine becomes primarily about profit, and stray animals are often ignored simply because no one can pay for their treatment.

We decided to do things differently.

Over the past four years, our clinic has already helped 8,048 animals — many of them stray, abandoned, or rescued by volunteers.

During this time we personally spent:

84,210,331 KZT (≈ $186,000 USD)

from our own personal funds on:

• emergency treatment

• surgeries

• medications

• food and care for rescued animals

These animals had no owners and no one to pay for their treatment.

We simply could not leave them without help.

To prove this, we have attached screenshots from our veterinary clinic management system, showing the real number of animals treated and the debts that we forgave for volunteers who brought injured stray animals to us.

We have also attached official documents confirming the state registration of our veterinary clinic VetSpectr.

Everything in this campaign is based on real work that has already been done.

The Problem We Face Today

Today we have reached the limit of what we can do.

Our biggest problem is that we do not have a properly equipped veterinary clinic or permanent facility.

Without proper equipment it becomes extremely difficult to provide:

• diagnostic imaging (X-rays)

• laboratory tests

• surgical treatment

• emergency care

Every week we are forced to turn away animals simply because we do not have the equipment needed to save them.

What We Want to Build

Our goal is to build a fully equipped veterinary clinic that will allow us to help thousands of animals every year.

In this clinic:

• stray animals will be treated free of charge, or at my personal expense

• pet owners who can afford treatment will pay for services

• a large portion of that income will go directly toward food, treatment, and care for stray animals

This will create a system where the clinic can support itself while continuing to help animals that have no owners.

Why This Project Matters

Many fundraising campaigns focus on saving one animal at a time.

That is important.

But this project works differently.

When you support this campaign, you are not just saving one animal.

You are helping create a veterinary clinic that will save thousands of animals in the future.

In simple words:

You are not just giving a fish — you are helping provide the fishing rod.

With proper equipment we will be able to:

• perform surgeries

• conduct X-ray diagnostics

• run laboratory tests

• treat infections and injuries

• help volunteers who rescue animals from the streets

And most importantly:

Stray animals will receive treatment even when no one can pay for it.

Why We Are Asking for Help Worldwide

Kazakhstan is still a developing country, and unfortunately there are very few charitable foundations capable of supporting large veterinary rescue projects.

Because of this, it is extremely difficult for us to find the necessary support within the country.

That is why we are asking for help from people around the world who believe that every animal deserves a chance to live.

Together we can change the situation.

Transparency and Accountability

Transparency is extremely important to us.

We will regularly publish:

• receipts for equipment purchases

• reports showing how funds are used

• updates on the number of animals treated

• real rescue stories from the clinic

Everyone who supports this campaign will be able to see exactly how their contribution helps animals.

Our Goal

We are raising funds for:

• X-ray diagnostic equipment

• laboratory equipment

• surgical equipment

• veterinary clinic furniture and setup

• preparation of a permanent clinic facility

Estimated budget: $250,000

All medications and consumables will continue to be purchased from our own funds.

Looking Ahead

This veterinary clinic is only the first step.

Our long-term goal is to create a private no-kill shelter for stray animals, where animals can receive treatment, rehabilitation, and eventually find loving homes.

But first we must build the clinic.
