An Art Academy for All 

At last, a welcoming and accessible destination dedicated to the creative potential in all of us! The Brilliant Academy of Art (BAA) offers creators in the Kootenay Columbia region of BC, a unique opportunity to develop their natural art making skills. 

As many reject the "digital landscape" in favor of a return to nature and "the real life", the BAA serves those who enjoy learning from life with real people in a real environment. Life Drawing and plein air painting are at the center of this classical school of realism. While developing their aesthetic understanding and basic skills like seeing, drawing, painting and sculpting, BAA participants produce rich portfolios of beautiful work with integrity.

As a classical art school unique to the whole of western Canada, the BAA is dedicated to the study of aesthetics and the mastery of traditional fine art production. In order to guarantee barrier free access to a top-level fine art education experience, the BAA is committed to providing its services at no monetary cost to participants. By liberating creativity from financial constraint, we ensure that deserving creators attain their artistic potential freely and produce artwork of the highest quality and integrity.

The BAA is appealing to local arts and culture patrons, partners, and investors to support this inclusive community initiative.  Every contribution is significant and ensures the future success and sustainability of the BAA. Successful fulfillment of this fundraising campaign will provide the means to secure a permanent home for the BAA, offset ongoing operating costs, provide a budget for the acquisition of working materials and teaching aids, allow for the contracting of professional staff (instructors, guest artists and models), and support the BAA's expanding community outreach program.

Supporters of the BAA become lifetime friends and are entitled to receiving ongoing news of BAA programming and events, preferred access to the BAA "new artworks" collection, the commissioning of original art through the BAA, and a real way to contribute to raising cultural standards and the quality of life locally and beyond.
