Before you go, did you know that simply by sharing this campaign, you could help it raise $30? It's an effective way to support the cause.
No thanksThe Cortland Voice hasn't added a story.
Here's how it works:
1 -- Donate $10 to support the Cortland Voice's critical journalism about Cortland County.
2 -- In exchange, we'll give you either:
A) $20 in store credit for any purchase at The Finger Lakes Tasting Room; or
B) $20 for any purchase of the spring season at The Center for the Arts of Homer.
3 -- That's it: No restrictions!
And that's it! Very simple.
Below, we've answered some basic questions about this fundraising campaign and about the Cortland Voice. To learn more, reach us anytime at pblanchard@cortlandvoice.com.
What is the Cortland Voice?
Launched in June 2015 by Editor Pete Blanchard, the Cortland Voice provides daily journalism about the city of Cortland and Cortland County that all residents can access free of charge online.
The Cortland Voice, which has close to 4,000 Facebook followers, has covered stories ranging from a profile of local brewmasters to the county sheriff's race to a recent high-profile road rage incident.
How will my money be used?
Right now, the Cortland Voice is a one-man operation. We're hoping your donation can ensure that our small media outlet finds some financial stability and, eventually, expand its current reporting base.
How do I redeem my discount?
At the end of the campaign, we'll send you an email with a special coupon code. The businesses will be ready to grant the store credit to all donors as soon as the fundraiser ends on Dec. 21 -- just in time for your Christmas shopping!
People just like you have raised $198,000,000+ for causes they and their friends care about.
