CAPITAL DIAPER BANK IS MORE THAN DIAPERS! We provide emergency support services to address the health and human services needs of fimiliies living in shelters and impoverished communities.
The Capital Diaper bank Staff drives an old van through impoverished communities daily to pick up children.
Sara's Story: Left at home to care for her 3 younger siblings at the age of 10, while her mother had a kidney transplant was more than frightening. Sara sought help from the only organization she knew...Capital Diaper Bank. Seeing the van in her neighborhood she ran after it crying, "My mother needs you". Her mom had come home on public transportation, without medication and was in extreme pain. CDB coordinated partnering agencies, to fill prescriptions, bring food cards and found the father who stayed and cared for the children until the mom got back on her feet.

Over the years we have driven 5 vehicles (4 of which are retired) a combined total of 1,244,000 miles! The van we use is old and in poor condition. We not only transport our most precious of cargo - sweet babies to the center each day, it also allows us to provide daily one-on-one counseling, emergency trauma response and family support services.

We Need a Ride!

safely transport all of the children that need a ride to our crisis
