HELP WIAA GAP STAY OPEN, BUILD A SAFER GYM, AND KEEP WHIDBEY'S ATHLETES COMPETING
Whidbey Island's young athletes need your help.
As we prepare for a new season, our gymnastics and cheer programs are at a turning point. Ongoing building limitations and maintenance problems have made remaining in our current location increasingly difficult. We now have an opportunity to move into a larger space—one that could transform what is possible for children and families throughout Whidbey Island.
But moving a gymnastics program is not as simple as changing addresses.
A safe, functional facility requires specialized flooring, landing mats, trampoline components, training equipment, transportation, installation, and substantial setup expenses. Without community support, the cost of making this move responsibly may be more than our program can overcome.
WHAT THE NEW SPACE COULD MAKE POSSIBLE
The new facility would provide:
• A full-size sprung cheer
floor
• A substantially longer rod floor for higher-level
tumblers
• Space to use both of our competition
trampolines
• A complete, safer Double Mini run-up and landing
area
• A much-needed TumblTrak and additional progression
equipment
• More recreational flooring and room to run multiple
programs, safely, at once
• The ability to serve more Whidbey
children without sacrificing training quality or safety
OUR IMMEDIATE $50,000 GOAL
Our documented equipment and program needs exceed $150,000. This campaign focuses on the first urgent phase: keeping the program operating, making the new space safe and functional, and protecting access for our athletes.
The first $50,000 will help:
• Complete the move and essential
facility setup
• Purchase critical flooring, landing mats, and
replacement safety equipment
• Build the cheer, rod-floor,
trampoline, recreational, and Double Mini training areas
• Cover
transportation, installation, taxes, processing fees, and
shipping
• Provide uniforms, competition assistance, and program
support for athletes whose families cannot absorb the full cost
The equipment wishlist below shows specific needs and their actual costs. The largest systems are listed first because they determine whether the new facility can operate as intended. Smaller safety items and training tools follow, allowing every donor to see exactly what their contribution can help provide.
WHY WIAA GAP EXISTS
Whidbey Island Aerial Athletics General Assistance Program—WIAA GAP—is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created so that a family's financial circumstances do not have to determine whether a young athlete gets to participate.
We bridge the gap by expanding access to safe, high-quality gymnastics and aerial athletics training, competitive opportunities, equipment, uniforms, tuition assistance, and competition support. Until now, the gym has quietly absorbed much of the cost of helping athletes whose families could not afford the full expense. That is no longer sustainable.

beginning at age three
• A proposed modified high-school team
designed around school cheer schedules

HELP US CHOOSE A FUTURE
Without a viable new home and a sustainable financial plan, Whidbey Island could lose an already-limited opportunity for its youth.
The opportunity is here. The need is here. The children are here.
What we are missing is the financial foundation to make the move responsibly.
Please contribute if you can, sponsor a specific need, become a recurring supporter, or share this campaign with friends, family, local businesses, community organizations, and anyone who believes Whidbey's children deserve a safe place and a fair opportunity.
Together, we can help WIAA GAP stay open, move forward, and keep athletes training and competing.
Thank you for standing with our athletes and helping us bridge the gap.
Contributions to WIAA GAP may be tax-deductible as permitted by law. Donors should retain their receipts and consult a tax professional regarding their circumstances.
