I remember stepping out of the car on Nathalie’s land for the first time and feeling the earth beneath my feet. My stress began to melt before I had taken ten steps. My body softened. My soul seemed to remember something it had forgotten. I have felt it every time I have returned, through retreats, ceremonies, and circles held there over the years, and I know I am not the only one.
Beneath that same land, something extraordinary is beginning to take shape. We are building an underground sanctuary, a healing pool held in the sheltering embrace of the earth, heated by a masonry stove and enclosed in walls of earthbags and natural plaster. Stepping into it will feel less like entering a building and more like coming home to something ancient and familiar. It is a return to stillness, to belonging, and to the womb of the Earth herself.
This dream began with Nathalie. She has spent more than seventeen years facilitating transformative circles, guiding people through deep healing work, and her own path has carried her from a career as an electrical engineer into a life devoted to holistic practice and spiritual guidance. She has long been drawn to humanity’s oldest healing spaces, the caves, springs, and sacred sanctuaries where people have gathered for restoration and renewal since ancient times, and this sanctuary is her way of bringing that lineage onto her own land. That land, just outside Sherwood Park, Alberta, has already held years of retreats, ceremonies, and gatherings for our community. This womb cave is the next chapter of what that land has always offered.
That is what we are building, and that is what I am asking you to help bring to life.
My name is Tatiana. I am a graduate of Woman Unveiled, Generation 11, a transformational women’s mystery school founded by Nathalie, and I am also a new facilitator of some of these practices myself. This sanctuary, this womb cave, is being built by graduates of Woman Unveiled and community members who share a deep longing to see it brought into reality. I have set up this fundraiser on behalf of my sisters to support Nathalie in bringing this dream and vision to life.
This past generation, something arrived alongside us in our circles: the feeling and intention of the beehive. It has stayed with us, and it feels like exactly the right image for what this project needs now. A hive is not built by one bee. It takes many hands, many small contributions, many workers moving together toward something none of them could build alone. That is what this fundraiser is. Every contribution, no matter the size, is another comb in the hive.
The vision itself is rooted in the feminine, though the space will welcome people of all genders. We all come from a womb. We all carry stories that want to be witnessed, grief that wants to be held, and parts of ourselves waiting for enough safety to soften and emerge. We hope that people will descend into this space carrying stress, exhaustion, or disconnection, and rise from it feeling lighter, warmer, and held, as though the Earth herself wrapped her arms around them for a while and whispered that they could rest.
Once complete, this sanctuary will hold ceremonies, healing circles, births and grief rituals, retreats, workshops, and more. It will also be available to other facilitators, healers, and guides looking for a space suited to this kind of deep work. I feel that calling myself, and I cannot wait to hold space here one day.
The design and hands-on building of the sanctuary is being led by Jen Weibel, who is bringing her new earthbuilding business to life through this very project, combining traditional earthbuilding techniques with community learning along the way. [More on Jen’s story and background coming soon.]
Construction begins on July 17th, 2026. Materials alone will cost more than $30,000, not including labour, instruction, or the many volunteer hours that will bring this sanctuary to life.
Every contribution helps place another earthbag, raise another wall, and bring this sanctuary one step closer to opening its doors.
For those called to a deeper level of involvement, we will also be opening future sponsorship opportunities for facilitators and practitioners who wish to invest in the sanctuary now in exchange for future rentals once it is complete. More details on that will follow as the project develops.
Thank you for being part of our hive.
