Dear friends,
Today, more than ever, we are called to be part of a profound
change. With open hearts, we are launching the 7th edition of the
“𝑮𝑨𝑼𝑫𝑰𝑶 𝑴𝑨𝑮𝑰𝑨 – 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒄 𝑩𝒐𝒙
𝑺𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒆” campaign, with an extraordinary new addition:
this year, for the very first time, the campaign will
reach the capital of Romania, Bucharest. We are
extremely proud and delighted to expand this project into the
heart of the country, bringing Bucharest residents closer to the
joy of giving.
It’s a harsh reality that, while many of us revel in the warmth
of our homes and the charm of the holidays, there are
children who see Christmas not as a source of joy but as a
moment when they feel the absence of family support even more
keenly. These children, who live in foster homes, special
schools, or disadvantaged families, don’t have a festive corner to
seek refuge in. However, with our help, this Christmas can become
a ray of light in a world otherwise devoid of the warmth
of love.
“𝐆𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐚” isn’t just about gift boxes.
It’s about humanity, about the power each gesture has to
transform the lives of children who live in the silence of
longing and the need for attention. Through each gift
we give – a toy, a book, warm clothing, or even a simple bar of
soap – we open a window to a kinder world for
them. Behind every gift is a message: “You are
not alone; we see you.”
Together, we can turn suffering into hope. Starting from October 26 until December 15, 2024, we aim to gather symbolic gifts that will reach the hands of those who need them most. The gifts will be distributed as follows: Bucharest December 13 - 15 and Oradea between December 19 and 22, bringing a bit of magic into the lives of the most vulnerable.
Our initiative is a call to each of you. You can be part
of this change. We invite you to contribute with
material donations – sweets, hygiene products, warm clothing – or
financial support, helping us to offer these children a moment of
normality. All donations, whether material or financial,
find their place in this collective effort to bring the holiday
season to homes where hardship runs deep.
The main collection point is located at the
headquarters of Gaudiopolis Varadiensis Association, on
Jean Calvin St., no. 2/b (next to Calvin Hotel), between
10:00 am – 8:00 pm. To become a collection point or for

The collection point in Bucharest is: Șoseaua Olteniței no. 3-5, Sector 4, between 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, at St. Theresa Church.
How can you help? Think about what would bring a
smile to a child’s face. A toy, an educational game, sweets,
clothing items, or school supplies – all of these can be carefully
packed in a beautifully wrapped box and brought to the collection
point. Every contribution matters, and the impact will be felt in
the hearts of those who receive these gifts.
