What we do

Hi! I'm Katie Lee G, and I'm so excited that Odd Barbell is hosting the Lift or Treat Halloween Deadlift Party, to be held on October 26th, 2024!

Myself and many members of Odd have a common need for a space that is affirming, inclusive, and empowering, that allows us to be ourselves, and get stronger. We've found sense of belonging at Odd Barbell, and are extending our gym home to the greater community, who we wish to get stronger with, together.

It's important for us to uplift and support others who share similar values and we've found that with The Living Room! 

The Living Room

The Living Room provides a safe, harassment-free space for queer and trans youth ages 13-24. Their programming is youth led and their services are rooted in youth-adult partnership. They offer accessible programming and resources that encourage the personal growth, sense of belonging, and development of leadership skills among LGBTQIA2S+ youth and their allies.

Their Drop-In is a safe space for youth to hang out, build community, find support, and have fun! These youth planned activities include game nights, art/craft projects, open mic nights & movies! They also have Virtual Drop-In on Discord each week.

The Living Room also provides a free resource closet including hygiene products, school supplies, gender care items, and more!

Our Inclusive Platform Odd Barbell has opened its doors to inclusive powerlifting events since 2021. Since then, we have been able to raise over $30,000 for local organizations who align with our values of a platform for all, and equal access to the sport of powerlifting.
