Hanuman has a new home on Maui!  With the loving support and hard work of satsang and a tireless crew of sevites and others, the new Hanuman Mandir was inaugurated on Guru Purnima on July 24.  The amazing crew worked until 3am to be ready!  Scroll down for photos of the Mandir and please visit our website for more photos, https://www.hanumanmaui.org/mandir.

Construction was put on hold for the celebration but there is more to do.  We have to finish the floors, windows, paint, landscaping and other building details.  As it goes with construction, we have exceeded our fundraising goal and humbly ask for your continued support.  Any amounts you are able to donate towards completion of the Mandir are greatly appreciated.

Hanuman Maui - Ram Dass Loving Awareness Sanctuary served as Ram Dass’s home for the last 14 years of his life and continues as a spiritual sanctuary for kirtan, meditation and seva.

Our Hawaiian Hanuman Murti was completed in April, 2019. Carved out of native Monkeypod wood by William "Aloha" Pasina, an amazing Polynesian artist with the requisite big heart, the Murti was welcomed as a full manifestation of Hanumanji by Ram Dass within hours after the sacred carving was completed. He currently resides in our puja room where we offer daily devotion, kirtans, Aarti, and meditations.

The inspiration for Hanuman's presence on Maui comes from Ram Dass, Neem Karoli Baba, and the Bhakti tradition, as well as the energy of Maui. This land naturally exudes Aloha, the same divine loving energy experienced in Bhakti yoga.

Mandir is a Sanskrit term for a sacred temple space. In Hawaiian, this Hale O Hanuman (Home of Hanuman) will be a Hale Pule (House of Prayer).

Hanumanji’s new Mandir will be in the central area of the sanctuary, beside the Loving Awareness Garden. Together these two areas will create a beautiful tropical temple space for devotees to bask in the glow of infinite Love.

Sustainably built out of Aircrete (a lightweight, non-toxic masonry material made with cement, water and soap foam) and locally sourced materials, this sacred space will rise from the  land - the 'Aina - with each step being guided by ancient knowledge, traditions, and practices.

Together, as a global community, we will co-create a truly exquisite offering of heart-centered Loving Awareness and Devotion.
