Our mission is simple and ambitious: to unite psychedelic science and tradition in the service of healing for all.

For the past five years, World Psychedelics Day has been a global gathering point for researchers, Indigenous knowledge keepers, healers, patients, and advocates. Together, we’ve shared stories of hope, advanced the science of psychedelic medicine, and celebrated ancient traditions that remind us that healing has always been — and must always be — a shared human journey.

Now, we are at a turning point. To take this work to the next level, we are seeking United Nations recognition of World Psychedelics Day. Why? Because official recognition means more than a day on the calendar — it means global legitimacy for psychedelic healing, protection for Indigenous knowledge, and a stronger platform to advance safe, ethical, and accessible psychedelic practices worldwide.

This campaign is about more than funding an event. It’s about building a movement that blends science and spirit, research and ritual, policy and humanity. It’s about amplifying voices from every corner of the world so that healing is not limited to the privileged few, but extended to all who need it.

🎯 Our Goal: $150,000

We are raising $150,000 to support World Psychedelics Day’s next phase of growth and formal engagement at the international level.

These funds will support:

• Operational & administrative costs required to sustain a global nonprofit initiative

• Digital infrastructure, communications, and outreach, including web and advertising

• People power, through modest support for core contributors coordinating global efforts

• Representation at international forums and policy-relevant convenings, enabling World Psychedelics Day to participate in meaningful dialogue with global institutions, researchers, and community leaders shaping the future of healing

To date, World Psychedelics Day has been funded almost entirely by a small number of mission-aligned sponsors and the personal financial contributions and thousands of volunteer hours of its three directors. This campaign allows us to build sustainability while maintaining integrity, inclusion, and impact.

World Psychedelics Day (WPD) 6·20: A Global Movement for Healing and Innovation

Since its online launch in 2021, World Psychedelics Day (WPD) 6·20 has become an international platform advocating for science and evidence-driven conversations about psychedelics. WPD brings together researchers, therapists, policymakers, Indigenous plant keepers, and the public to highlight the safe, therapeutic potential of psychedelics for mental health and well-being.

Each year, WPD engages thousands of people worldwide through live events, immersive online forums, and international collaborations. WPD was featured at Psychedelic Science 2025, the world’s largest psychedelic conference, reinforcing its role in shaping global discourse.

Now, we are respectfully calling on the United Nations to officially recognize June 20 as World Psychedelics Day—a step that would help dismantle stigma, promote harm reduction, and accelerate evidence-based mental health policies. With public support surging and clinical research expanding, WPD’s recognition will contribute to progressive global drug policies and responsible, legal access to psychedelic medicines.
