Once again we invite you to be part of the fabulous annual swim from Mouse Island, in aid of local projects and to support our local branch of Search and Rescue team AKUT.
On Saturday 12th October around 50 swimmers will be setting off to their departure point of Yalı Beach Club, Lures Beach Club or Mouse Island (5.4km) to swim in to the town beach. Participants are asked to raise funds from personal sponsors for this year's good cause
THIS YEAR'S CAUSES
- Fitting out Art and Music classrooms at the Akbel Science High School (continuing last year's project)
- Providing landscaping and an outside teaching space at the Kalkan Occupational High School (Meslek re Teknik Lisesi)
- Providing a lathe for the Çayköy Middle School workshop
- Providing professional equipment and facilities for AKUT
- Providing a further Trap Camera for one of the Antalya Monk Seal Breeding Caves
The Swim has, over its previous 13 years, provided sports facilities, extra classrooms, medical facilities, help to the victims of fire and earthquake, support to desperately ill children among many other causes.

In 2023 we
- helped several women in the earthquake zone pass their driving test
- built an outdoor classroom at Ova School
- partitioned and decorated space for an Art and Music Teaching Space at the Science High School in Akbel
- provided 85,000 TL in cash for AKUT plus specialist rescue equipment
- repaired craft machinery for Çayköy School
- provided a trap camera for The Mediterranean Monk Seal Preservation Association
