      • The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all of us. For some of us, the pandemic means a loss in income and ability to pay for the most basic necessities like food.
      • To meet the needs of our community, Boston Food Not Bombs is providing a weekly grocery distribution every Wednesday. While we are sourcing many groceries for free, demand is growing and we have more people lining up every week.
      • We are raising funds to purchase groceries and other essential supplies (e.g., sanitary supplies) so that we can continue to give out groceries every week until this crisis is over. Your donations will go directly toward feeding people through our weekly grocery distribution program. Any funds that do not get used over the course of this crisis will be used for Boston Food Not Bombs’ regular operations.
      • About Boston Food Not Bombs: Food Not Bombs started in Boston in 1980 in protest of war and poverty. We pose the question: when a billion people go hungry each day, how can we spend another dollar on war? Today, Food Not Bombs is a worldwide movement made up of hundreds of independent chapters which provide free meals to their communities. We believe that food is a right, not a privilege. We are structured non-hierarchically – meaning no one is in charge – and follow the principles of mutual aid.
      • During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have expanded beyond our normal operations to provide a regular grocery distribution program on Wednesdays.  This will take place every Wednesday from 2pm until food runs out, at the Brazilian Worker Center at 14 Harvard Ave. We will be continuing our weekly Saturday meals, which are open to anyone but primarily serve houseless individuals in Cambridge, MA.
