WITH a firm commitment to uplift the lives of many Filipino families
in the grassroots and put an end to the embattling cycle of poverty,
Barangay Assistance Network Development Foundation Inc. launched its
Global Filipino Membership Card that seeks to provide help, financial
tools as support, incentives, credit facility and "access"
to banking and financial inclusion. By "access," the group
of humanitarian workers of BAN provide benefits through the following
card functions: health and medical care, housing, livelihood and
employment opportunities, credit facility, discounts and rebates,
educational tools and a wide option of support through partnership.
The project is a manifestation of the group's strong dedication to
create empowered communities in the Philippines today.
BAN is a private countrywide prosperity and development
initiative which intends to promote financial inclusion of every
Filipino to include overseas Filipino workers and their families back
home. It aims to empower, support and assist individual members by
providing benefits and other privileges through development and
economic ventures in the barangays with resources and assistance
geared towards a nationwide comprehensive development initiative in
support of government programs. BAN intends to connect and engage all
barangays into one network and create a synergy between communities,
private organizations and other well-meaning organizations and
stakeholders to work together towards nation building. Its main goal
is to provide opportunity for the continued advancement of the
Philippines toward national progress by developing communities in the
grassroots level and implement projects that subscribe to world-class
standards through BANS’ brand of leadership.
The unequivocal cynosure of BAN are the necessities,
particularly on food, water, alternative sources of energy, shelter,
health and nutrition, livelihood, education and culture, resource
management and expansion, agriculture, values formation, peace and
security. BAN in partnership with LinkPhilippines International Inc.,
offshore partner companies, local government units and cooperatives
will undertake the development of regional multipurpose facilities
which are envisioned to promote trade and commerce in each region,
stimulate agricultural progress and allow the means to process farm,
sea and freshwater produce for export abroad. This is expected to
boost regional socio-economy and generate jobs, improve the lives of
the citizenry and instilling the new Filipino spirit towards a united
and progressive Philippines we can be truly proud of.
