Hairspray Jr. is a youth production. The story of Hairspray addresses racism in the 60's but we find it's still prevalent today. We specifically wanted to do this as a youth production to help the younger generation understand that this is an ongoing issue in society, and we hope to instill in them a sense of respect and tolerance no matter who or what you are. It's a very important message to impart and if we save one life from it, then we're more than happy. 

By putting this production on, we are also encouraging the youth to be comfortable in themselves, understand their value, and help them find their way by showing respect and courtesy.

Your donations will help get our first major production, in May 2019 - Hairspray Jr., get started, we're about to start rehearsals, but lack of money is holding us back. The money will be spent on hiring a venue and organising fundraising events. This is why we need your help to get us going.

So now we ask with open hand that you can help us reach this goal and help get our production off the ground, to instill in the younger generation the happiness of bringing joy through the arts.
