Hi, I am David Dunn owner of Fight Academy in Santa Clarita. I am writing you today in hopes of inspiring you to join me in supporting the Shamrock Boys Ranch, a home for at risk youth since 1974.
As you know, I have been a martial artist my entire life and I have known Frank Shamrock personally for about 15 years. During that time he has represented martial arts and combat sports with integrity and honor becoming a champion and the first complete mixed martial artist.
After retiring undefeated in the UFC, I have watched him raise his daughter through Facebook while enoying tons of fights with his voice broadcasting the action. Recently I noticed the FundRazr campaign online and pleadged to offer my support. The Shamrock are trying to raise 37k to purchase land for their Ranch nearby LA and I know once up and running they will make a tremendous impact on our community.
Frank Shamrock is a master instructor, professional life coach, and professional speaker and he has offered to teach at our school for free!

My name is Frank Shamrock and I am the founder of Shamrock Way Inc, a non profit company with a mission to help youth in at risk communities.
I am also a retired UFC/MMA Champion and my brother, Ken Shamrock, is a WWE and UFC champion; we are the Shamrock Brothers - pioneers of MMA, the fastest growing sport in the world. Before our successes - we were both wards of the state of California and were caught in an escalating cycle of youth incarceration.
We were lucky that after a few visits to Juvenile Halls and even more group homes we ended up at the Shamrock Boys Ranch. The next stop was youth prison. Bob Shamrock and his wife Dee Dee opened the Ranch in 1974 sharing their homes with troubled boys in Arizona and later California. Stable at last, Ken and I prospered socially and went on to become sports champions - famous for our efforts and dicipline in martial arts on PPV.
When Ken and I turned 18, Bob had adopted us, the only boys out of over 2000 that he would go on to help before passing away in January of 2010. With his passing, the Shamrock Boys Ranch was shuttered.
We want to reopen the Ranch to honor Bob Shamrock and continue his work of helping kids. To do that we will purchase a 5+ acre parcel of rural land near Los Angeles and construct a green, off the grid, organic ranch and natural farm that will service up to 20 boys in nature/wilderness therapy. The boys will participate daily in group hiking camping, therapy, philanthropy and marital arts training. The monies will pay for the down payment on the land, a small modular onsite office and permits to build out the ranch.
We really need your help, this is the most important step to get the ball rolling.
Once we have a physical location: we can launch our media/marketing strategy and use our celebrity story to raise funds and donations for the construction. I will staff the onsite office and personally oversee every stage of development which I will happily share with you.
The Shamrock Boys Ranch saved my life and created an appreciation of family and charity that we know can help alot of people.
Since leaving the Shamrock Ranch - I have become a good father and citizen, professional athlete and sports pioneer, television broadcaster, actor, producer, entreprenuer, author, mentor, teacher, spokesman and executive coach.
Before that I was a problem child and youth offender, running away from home and terrorizing the community. I was the kind of kid that we are looking to help.
We are asking all of our family and friends to donate at least 1$ and share this campaign with your friends.

2018 UPDATE
The quest continues. Last year was a huge wakeup call for our mission. I found out that with my criminal record, they will not allow me to have kids or access any state funds. Both of these are essential to our success. I need to get a pardon which we have started and in the meantime we are launching a social and multimedia campaign in support of Mental Health which has become one of the most at risk communities.
