Unfortunately, the news story does not mention there are now 2 orphaned homeless fur babies headed to the nearest animal facility. This can be verified thru the Sheriff's office that the 2 fur kids were taken to Animal Control, and because they are 8 and 9 years old with medical conditions.... they would have been euthanized.
Wheels 4 Paws was notified by a follower, of this story.....an officer involved shooting of a father and son, at a home in England, Arkansas, and these 2 babies were now homeless and were taken to the local pound in Lonoke County, Arkansas. Wheels 4 Paws moved right in to save these 2 fur babies, a male and a female. They are about 8 and 9 yrs. old, have medical issues, dry eye, flea allergy...and their Heartworm status is unknown. They have been removed from the shelter and are with a friend of WHEELS 4 PAWS until we can get to Arkansas to pick them up. They have had a rabies shot and have been issued a health certificate in order to get out of the State. These 2 babies need to start healing...and Wheels 4 Paws would like to help them do this, but we need your help.
Any help that you can send our way, will allow us to help these babies have time to heal from their ordeal in their previous home and at the shelter. Then to get their health issues under control. Once this is accomplished, they will be ready for an adoptive furever home or rescue, until then, they will receive the warmth, comfort and love that they deserve.
Any amount will help, $1, $5, change gathered from your car console, couch cushions or the price of that extra cup of coffee or candy bar. It will all add up for these babies.
