If everyone in southeast Georgia donated just a few pennies for each person; we could feed, medicate, house, and offer care to lots of horses and donkeys (equine) in need! It takes approximately $1,000 a year to properly care for a horse in need and $800 a year to care for a donkey in need. These costs are based on an equine that does not require extensive medical care. Angel's Helping Hands currently houses 12 horses and 7 donkeys.
Angel's Helping Hands is a 501(c)3 non profit organization located between Brunswick, Georgia and Waycross, Georgia in a small town called Hortense. We are dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of farm animals as well as the education of our youth. We believe that with proper education and learning, our next generation may understand what is required to care for animals so that they do not need to be rescued from bad circumstances. We take our education to the schools and the schools also come out to the farm. We welcome church groups, 4H, boy and girl scouts, and any others that would like to learn about farm animals and farming the land for survival and sustenance.
