At Holistic Pelvic Health Collaborative: A Social Enterprise, we're on a mission to improve the lives of those in need as it pertains to pelvic floor issues and our focus currently is on urinary incontinence. Did you know?

-According to Milsom and Gyhagen (2019), over 400 million people are affected worldwide.

-1 in 3 Women experience symptoms postpartum (Thom and Rortveit, 2010) -80% Cases of stress incontinence can be improved with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy (Athanasiou et al., 2021; Grigoriadis et al., 2024).

-50% of the older adult never seek treatment (Teunissen et al., 2005).

In addition, UI affects almost a quarter of the Canadian population over the age of 65 years (Kolahdooz et al. 2026).

With your support, we can create the first of a kind collaborative social enterprise that addresses the needs of individuals living with urinary incontinence.

Every day, we see the negative impact of urinary incontinence on our sisters, brothers, fathers, mothers, aunties, uncles, children, friends, clients, patients and this effect is sad! Financial constraints shouldn't hinder people receiving the care they need to treat urinary incontinence, a condition that does not discriminate in terms of age, ethnicity, sex, or socio walk of life. We would also want to eliminate the "ick" in urinary incontinence and High Intensity Focused Electro Magnetic (HIFEM) Therapy also known as "pelvic chair" is an example of an intervention to treat UI. According to Silantyeva et al., 2020, "HIFEM technology was able to significantly improve biometric indices of pelvic floor integrity and UI symptoms" (p. 273).

If democracy is by the people and for the people, we want to make HIFEM available by the people and to the people without financial constraints and affordable to ALL eligible individuals! But we can't do it alone.
