Hello,

I recently received an email from a trauma treatment specialist in Poland who is now helping Ukrainian women and children as they cross the border into his country. It turns out he is one of my podcast listeners and he asked if I would donate my  Quick Calm DIY online video training session and its stress reduction app to his small team of volunteers so they can teach the workshop’s simple techniques to refugees and other volunteers. I enthusiastically agreed and they are now using these resources to bring a little peace to Ukrainians and themselves in the midst of this humanitarian catastrophe.

That small donation has now sparked a much larger effort to customize the Quick Calm session and app so they better meet the needs of refugees and those helping them. I'm putting together a team to adapt, maintain and get these resources directly and immediately to those who need them, and we need your help to make all of this happen. It’s beautifully simple and here’s how it works:

For every dollar contributed to this 'chill and serve' effort, I will donate 10 Quick Calm video sessions and rapid relaxation apps to Ukrainians, their families, volunteers and organizations helping them.

This means a $100 donation will help 1,000 people in need—a powerful way to supersize the stress-relieving impact of your contribution! And those who give $100 or more will receive the Quick Calm workshop and app as a special stress-busting thank you (click on that option in the right column or at checkout).

Contributions will be used for these activities:

• Ongoing development, posting and updating of information and resources such as links to local mental health services and volunteer needs
• Translation of select content into Ukrainian and Polish
• Moderation and response to Q&A and discussion forums
• Connecting refugees and others with volunteer coaches and counselors
• Customer support, hosting and data costs
• Coordination and delivery of the above activities—including by Ukrainians who have lost their  incomes due to the war

Whether or not you contribute funds to this effort, sharing it with your friends, family, colleagues, employer and social media connections is also a critical way to make a difference (easy social media sharing tools are toward the top of this page).

Given the heartbreaking enormity of the Ukrainians' situation and the desperate desire that many of us have to help them, it has been exhilarating to start facilitating direct and instantaneous mental health support.
