Pero la educación de nuestros niños y jóvenes tiene que continuar. No más rezago. Algunos ya han perdido casi un año de clases a causa de los desastres naturales -- el Huracán María y los terremotos del 2020 -- y, ahora la pandemia del COVID-19.
Dale la Nueva Escuela Virtual (NEV) a un niño intenta capacitar a las escuelas en las comunidades más vulnerables para continuar el proceso de educación, ante éste y cualquier nuevo reto, con una alternativa de aprendizaje en línea que provee contenido alineado al currículo del Departamento de Educación y cubre todos los temas básicos, exámenes y ejercicios ajustados a los estándares.

Opción 2 :Con tu apoyo, podemos equipar a cientos de estudiantes, maestros y padres con las herramientas tecnológicas para el aprendizaje en línea.
Así es cómo funciona:
La Nueva Escuela Virtual provee contenido para
todos los estudiantes (K-12) en cada nivel académico, incluyendo
educación especial y educación en a casa. Independientemente dónde estén.
- Los maestros pueden comunicarse con los estudiantes usando el Salón Virtual para videoconferencia.
- A través de la plataforma, los estudiantes pueden tomar exámenes y recibir notas de sus maestros.
- La plataforma incluye apoyo para los padres y maestros mediante asistencia técnica ofrecida por los instructores educativos adiestrados en la NEV.
Actualmente, al NEV se puede acceder desde cualquier dispositivo, ya sea celular, computadora o tableta y se está utilizado en escuelas de Estado Unidos (Filadelfia), Colombia, la República Dominicana y Puerto Rico.

But our children’s education must continue. Enough is enough. Some of our students have lost up to a year in school due to natural disasters -- Hurricane María, the 2020 earthquakes -- and, now the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dale la Nueva Escuela Virtual (Give a child the New Virtual School) is focused on preparing schools in our most vulnerable communities to ensure continuity of the education process, during this and any future challenges, with an online learning alternative that provides Department of Education aligned content covering all the required topics, exams, and exercises adjusted to department standards.
Option 1: With your support, hundreds of students will be ready to start the new school year fully equipped to succeed in the virtual education environment.
Opción 2: With your support, we can equip hundreds of students with the technological tools needed to succeed in online learning.
Here's how it works:
The Nueva Escuela Virtual is available to all students (K-12) at every academic level, including special education, and homeschooling. Regardless of where they are, students can continue their academic semester and complete their studies.
- Through the platform, teachers can communicate with their students via videoconferencing.
- Students can study the assigned content, do homework, practice for state exams, participate in forums, take exams, be recognized by their teachers, earn badges, and receive grades from their teachers.
- The platform also includes support for parents and teachers through technical assistance offered by NEV-trained educational instructors.
The NEV can be accessed from any device, be it a cell phone, computer or tablet, and is currently in use in schools in the United States (Philadelphia), Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and several schools in Puerto Rico.
With your support, we can provide hundreds of students with the tools they need to continue their education.
Educational instructors are available for advice and technical support. They coordinate access to the platform and guide the user on how to access the different sections and choose the available material, according to the student's grade and level of knowledge.
