Do a good deed, give to those in need.
In this VERY rainy time, our shelters are very important in offering a dry place for the horses in our care. We just replaced the tarps on the shelters a few months ago, and they have already been damaged in our storms.
As you can see by today's rains, what grass we do have is constantly being washed away which causes us to have a much higher hay bill.
What we hope to accomplish by this fund raiser is to replace the tarps with a much better quality of material, purchase another shelter to attach to the fencing where we can place a roll so the horses can eat the hay while staying dry. This will enable us to stop going to the feed store on a daily basis purchasing bales.
We would also like to raise enough funds where we can give the horses extra farrier work in this wet time. Without the hooves there is no horse. Two of the donkeys have to be sedated to get their hooves done, so that entails our vet coming out at the same time as the farrier.
