In the summer of 2016, Simon and Laura Cooper moved into the Refresh Centre, a former care home in Blackpool to start a mission training centre. In April, they secured the building and started to renovate.
Behind the centre is a desire to train and equip missionaries from the UK for the UK and to learn through a 12-week intensive mission experiences, in partnership with local churches.
The home is in a state of disrepair and will require significant plumbing and electrical works. A team of people have become involved to do some of the building work through volunteers, but the trade work is to be done by professionals.
This fundraising campaign is to raise money to cover the costs of this work and to bring the centre to a state which can then be used for the mission work.
