Esperanza Resort - Hurricane Relief Fund
$90,120 raised

4 Years running

On September 14th, 2014 Hurricane Odile, one of the strongest hurricanes in modern history made landfall in Baja California. We initiated a pre-emptive resort evacuation and because of our precautionary action, guests, homeowners and staff were safely evacuated off property when the hurricane hit, and no injuries were sustained.

The area has suffered significant damage and our search for our employees and their families has been our highest priority. We know that many of our employees are safe in local shelters, however their homes were unable to withstand the flooding and unfortunately many have lost everything. The area is experiencing a shortage of food and water and we are setting up temporary relief to assist our employees with these basic necessities during this time.

Esperanza is currently closed and Los Cabos is still without power and phones. The airports are not operational except for military and relief transport. We will be making a full damage assessment of the hotel in the next week and will have more information soon on our expected re-opening date.

Due to the overwhelming response from guests who have been calling to extend support, we have set up this relief fund that will be administered by our General Manager Marc Rodriguez to aid Esperanza employees and their families during this difficult time.

On behalf of Auberge Resorts and those who will benefit from your generosity, please accept our deepest appreciation.
