We are a small family owned company who started the Research and Development of Slice of Rice(TM) in probably the worst time to start a business, when America was going through its financial meltdown. Our first funding even got withdrawn, because the financial institution went out of business. Relying on friends and family and leveraging all the assets we had, we managed to get set up and begin. Cancer decided to visit me a year and half later, when we were extremely close to our breakthrough in freezing sticky rice so that it thawed to perfection. I wasn't particularly pleased with the timing. Blessed with support of family and friends we found a great doctor in Florida and he proceeded to robotically remove the intruder.

One year later we perfected Slice of Rice(TM) and I have been cancer free now for 2+ years.Sale of Slice of Rice(TM)for the first year after Research & Development has been primarily through the Food Service industry to Chefs that range from Five Star resorts in Atlanta to the sky boxes of the major league baseball teams. Numerous hotels, colleges, country clubs, casinos all employ the convenience of Slice of Rice(TM).

We are not Kellogg's, and introducing a new product into the retail marketplace is an expensive project with many challenges. Marketing and design of final packaging is underway but continued marketing and getting the word out will be an ongoing arm of the company. Our near term goal is to finalize the packaging design and begin our marketing campaign to target and support our entry into Grocery Stores throughout North America.

Professional marketing will be the key factor to gaining this entry. Maybe, just maybe, in a few years a friend will be telling you about a new invention and at the end of his story he marvels about this new invention by saying, "The greatest invention since sliced rice!" And you can say, in all honesty, "Yep I had a part in sliced rice!"
