Joey Clarke hasn't added a story.
Joey Clarke was born to a heroin addicted Mother and an intelligent yet unlucky Father. Joey's Father served federal prison time during Joeys formative years and high school due to a wrongful fraud conviction. Joey's Mother never beat her drug addiction despite many valiant attempts. In October of 2011 Joey's appendix burst. This led to an infection and repetitive and chronic lung problems. In the summer of 2012 Joey contracted Scarlet Fever, a rare variant of the Streptococcus pyogenes bacteria. This led to his withdrawal from school halfway through a semester. Due to his withdrawal the Ontario Student Loan Program registered an overpayment requiring repayment in subsequent semesters. Joey was forced to repay OSAP this semester leaving him 2000 short on tuition and completely without resources to sustain a collegiate lifestyle. Joey had been working all through university both with the Central Student Association at the University of Guelph and with Student Housing. When he became ill Joey continued working for almost a full year until his illness became too much to bear. Joey is asking merely for the oppurtunity to finish his education and defy the odds. Neither his older brother or sister attended Post-Secondary education. Joey believes strongly in the value of education and hard work but is unable to fund this semester of University. Joey has severely decreased lung fuction and at the last check was breathing at only 40 percent lung functionality.
Joey is not an angel and has had his own brushes with the law. Despite being charged in his late teens criminally, Joey does not possess a criminal record. Joey has taken great strides in the last years to avoid criminality and reform himself from any bad habits. Brushes with the law aside Joey is an avid reader and conversationalist. His favourite books include the Screwtape Letters, Lolita, The Wheel of Time and Oryx and Crake. In addition to his financial and social troubles Joey was born with a non-verbal learning disorder. This disorder falls under the autism spectrum of disorders and has recently been compared extensively to aspergers. Having such a variety of impediments in the way of success means that statistically Joey should fail. Everyone would understand if he did not graduate. Please ensure that he does.
Setbacks.
