Joey Clarke hasn't added a story.
The concept behind this book stems from the recent torrent of sexual violence in the media. From victim blaming to differing views on sexual assault, there is a need for a shift in the way we think and speak about consent and sexual violence.
We are asking every author to submit two stories. One detailing a positive sexual or romantic experience. An experience where everything just worked. Where communication and consensual activities led to a memorable and positive experience. The second story is the negative story. Where everything did not work. It could have been anything from a lewd comment and unwanted attention to a physical sexual assault. Any negative experience the author is willing to share. The juxtaposition will highlight how consent and communication made the difference between a positive and negative experience.
A paradigm shift is necessary in today’s society in the way we think about sexual assault. Over the past few days I have encountered well-intentioned, genuinely good people who still believe women are partially responsible for being assaulted. Comments like “why did they have to go to a club dressed like that? Couldn’t they go to a patio like an adult?” (As if no one has ever been sexually assaulted on a patio.) Both women and men should be free to wear whatever they want, and go wherever they wish, dressed however they wish, without the fear of assault and/or harassment. Until victim blaming and rape culture are completely eradicated, there remains work to be done.

You can contact whomever you feel most comfortable with in regards to your story but for the sake of full disclosure Cara is going to be in charge of ultimately organizing all the stories. If you have no preference it might be easier to contact her directly with your story. If you just wish to know more about this project contacting Joey is probably best, although anyone involved in the project can tell you about it.
If you wish to tell your story but remain anonymous that is fine. If you wish to tell your story to one of us and have us make it into a narrative that is an option. We are willing to accommodate you as much as humanely possible. I know some of these stories may be difficult to share, so if there is any way to make this process easier for you, please let us know. If you know someone who has been affected by sexual assault, and is comfortable contributing their story, please pass along our contact info. If you know of a way to make this more inclusive, less intrusive, or overall more beneficial let us know.

Recently a pick up artist raised over $16,000 for a book that glorifies sexual assault. I think we as a society deserve better and can come together and make something positive. This entire process is going to be collaborative from the fundraising, to the stories, to the editing. Let's show the world what good people can do when they come together.
My sister has two books published and we have interest from a couple different professor at the university of guelph. This is not a far-fetched idea. We fully intend to get this book published. Continue supporting the cause and share this link with your friends. Share it with anyone interested in telling there story or supporting the effort.
