Our initiative, FUNDS FOR THE DOLLS, is not just another mutual aid community; it's a revolution led by its donors, a private NGO/Co-operative Trans Fund dedicated to offering vital housing, financial assistance, and protection to homeless Black Trans Women and non-binary folks across the United States and in the most dangerous countries worldwide.
The Problem and Our Innovative Solution
Did you know that a staggering 90 percent of Black Trans Women suffer from housing insecurity and homelessness?
These women not only battle societal discrimination but also experience severe violations of their human rights. The urgency is palpable, and we can't turn a blind eye.
FUNDS FOR THE DOLLS exists to change this narrative, prioritizing the provision of safe, permanent housing while also offering comprehensive wraparound services devoted to health, career, and educational opportunities.
Our immediate model involves purchasing safe apartments and homes to accommodate these resilient individuals, alongside developing designated Trans Community housing nationwide. Meanwhile, we provide crucial emergency housing across major cities through Airbnb and plan to expand these efforts globally.
Additionally, we are offering financial assistance and rent relief for indigent Homeless Black Trans Women and non-binary communities.
