My Journey
I'm Chaz. 63 years young and I will ride the 1069 km long Munda Biddi Bike Trail in Western Australia to support the people of Ukraine. Please donate to this fundraiser, which will support the Danish NGO Bikes4Ukraine.org, who have been active in Ukraine since June 2022.
Why I'm Doing It
My love for riding bikes and grinding trails is amplified by my desire to support the people of Ukraine. Bicycles are powerful tools for change as well as vital tools in war zones and disaster zones. I am fundraising to support Bikes4Ukraine.org.
I feel greatly motivated to fundraise for Ukraine, a
country that holds a special place in my heart. Having once
embraced me with incredible kindness during a time of need, an
enduring bond was created.
Now, as Ukraine faces its own challenges, I am compelled
to give back and stand in solidarity.
Along the challenging journey of the Munda Biddi Bike
Trail, I hope to honour the spirit of generosity I experienced
in Ukraine and provide much-needed support to a nation that
deserves our help.
I will ride the 1069 km from Mundaring to Albany, in
Western Australia, on my beautiful bike "Luna",
which was made in
Australia by Curve Cycling.
Join me in this heartfelt endeavour to support Ukraine and
help me make a positive difference in the lives of its people
during this time of extreme struggle.

How funds will be used.
All the proceeds will go directly to an amazing cause.
 | Since June 2022, the Danish NGO Bikes4Ukraine.org have been on the ground all over Ukraine. They source used bikes in Europe and send them to their network of NGOs in 35 cities and towns in Ukraine, where they are used daily by social workers and volunteers to deliver food, water, humanitarian aid and medicine to the most vulnerable citizens in the most devasted areas. Why does Ukraine need bikes? The roads have been ruined in many parts of Ukraine, cars were destroyed or stolen by the invaders, gas prices are high, public transport is unreliable or non-existent. Many vulnerable citizens can't make it into the nearest town center for supplies - so the supplies have to get to them. Bikes are resilient, reliable and easy to repair and volunteers and social workers deliver vital goods to people. By moving a large percentage of goods transport over to bikes, motor vehicles are freed up to do other tasks.
