Our Cause
Like water from a tap, food is underrated since for most of us who have three meals a day it is never in our imagination that it could ever be scares or unavailable. These however for a homeless man on the street, a drug dependent child on the corner, a battered wife, or a refugee who fled from their war infested region, is a daily reality.
For us who are blessed with a little more the onus is on us to extend a helping hand to those who are less fortunate, after all, blessed is the hand that giveth than the one that taketh. We have since noticed that the little we can do in our little surroundings can make a significant impact and it is the only way the world is going to achieve total poverty alleviation.
We at Alpha-One strive to always find strategic points where multitudes of hungry souls converge daily to lay their heads or find shelter; these places are mostly within the inner cities. We are always humbled by the resulting queuing lines responding to that one warm meal while some evidently being their only meal of the day. These numbers increases exponentially in recent days with the global food shortage and economical melt downs affecting poorer countries. With your help we can reach out to even more recipients and feed more souls.
