What is TND?

We're an urban fantasy audio drama podcast, telling the story of the "normal" diner staff at a "normal" diner in a magical world.

If you thought a regular diner got intense to work at, imagine what it would be like if your coworkers were centaurs, dragons, and vampires! Let alone the customers...

So for anyone in the service industry (especially food), it's #Relatable. But also, it's a show for anybody who loves fantasy and diverse stories!

What do we hope to accomplish with this show?

Other than having a blast?

In all seriousness, we want to create a safe place for not only the diner customers but also for our listeners.

Early on in the project, we decided we wanted to talk about and share the experiences of folx all across the Gender and Sexual Minorities spectrum (GSM), along with addressing topics like mental health, identity, race, and how all of those affect our daily lives. And we brought on a team of incredible sensitivity consultants to help us fill in the gaps that our own experiences left in those spaces.

And we'd really love your help in sharing those stories!

What is our goal?  What is our stretch goal?

Our first goal is to raise $1,200 for basic production costs. At that point, you will get to hear the first official trailer for TND!

Every $300 we raise, we'll be releasing new character art and a cast announcement for one of our main characters! You can look in the Updates tab on this campaign, or on our Twitter for those.

But we have tons of stretch goals after we're fully funded, with some exclusive content to release when we hit those goals! Things like audition audio for characters like Ward (our dwarf dragon security officer), Beezle (our head-cook Cthuluite), and (our soon-to-be-named by you, EVIL WIZARD), plus additional character art. All of which we know you'll love!

What will that money go toward?

For the main goal of $1,200, here's a quick rundown of the basics:

• Foley microphones
• Website Hosting Fees
• Website Domain fees 
• Podcast Hosting Fees
• Music rights
• Character Art

But after we pass that, the money we raise will go to our amazing actors!

We have a full cast!

Speaking of our amazing team, we have a very large cast for this project! That's more than 30 named characters, along with close to 60 customers!

They've all agreed to be part of this project as a labor of love because they care about telling these stories and believe that they're important. But we'd really like to pay them for their trouble.

Unfortunately, we're a 2 person independent production team, so we have really limited resources. And we're doing our best with what we have, but our actors deserve better.

So we're asking for your help in getting them at least a little reward. And in turn, we'll get you some awesome stuff too!

When do we plan to release the show?

If everything goes according to plan, we'll be recording lines from March through June of this year. So we hope to release our show either near the end of this year (at the earliest) or early in 2023.

The show will be completely free to listen to, and available on all the places you're used to finding podcasts! Apple, Google Play, etc., you'll be able to find the Totally Normal Diner on all of those!
