Please meet Miss Molly. She is one of over 30 dachshunds that Furever Dachshund Rescue has rescued from a terrible hoarding situation in New England this past weekend. We need to raise enough money to care for these dachshunds in need! Right now Molly and one of her buddies is being cared for by the wonderful veterinarians and staff at Ocean State Veterinarian Specialists. Several dachshunds are scheduled for vetting starting today but we need to be able to pay the vet bills.

Thanks to our wonderful volunteers we have been able to pull these dogs out of a horrendous situation. Unfortunately Miss Molly was in the worst condition. She was found in a lethargic heap, at the back of a kennel, barely alive. Miss Molly is a fighter and wanted to live and so we took her to the hospital where they have been treating her for several days now. Her prognosis is good but her body will need time to heal. Miss Molly sustained dozens of puncture wounds throughout her body but mainly around her ears, throat, eyes and bottom. Her abdomen is badly bruised and she has severe swelling all over her head, neck, and shoulders. To make matters worse; the harness she was wearing had cut through her skin and was imbedded in her flesh. After removing the harness, two drains had to be placed to help the wounds drain properly and heal.

Miss Molly has had two surgeries so far: one for the drain from where the harness had imbedded and one for drains being placed in her left leg, left ear, and neck; a direct result from puncture wounds. She is being kept on IV fluids, antibiotics, and pain medications. The doctors think she will fully recover with lots of TLC.

Please help us raise enough money to help Miss Molly and her buddy so that they can continue to get the medical care they need and to help us pay for all the vetting expenses that come along with the medical needs of over 30 dachshunds. Each dog will need to be spayed or neutered, have Rabies, DHPP, and Bordatella vaccinations, heartworm and lyme tests, blood work, skin scrapings, deworming, and many will need dental cleanings. This is a huge financial burden and we need to move quickly so that we can place these dogs in loving homes.

We have accrued over $3000 in vet bills and we still have 25 dogs to vet but we can't help them without your donation. Please donate directly to our PayPal account and help us raise this money NOW!
