Sharing the Happiness of Qurban for Minority Muslims in Remote Areas

We fully understand that Coronavirus has given a dramatic impact on us and the world we are living. All of us are struggling to survive and to win the battle against this pandemic.

Nevertheless,in some areas, even before the global pandemic occurred, many people had  experienced what we are facing now.

Coronavirus pandemic has made us realize that life is short and time flies. While we are alive, we should prepare for our long never-ending journey in the Hereafter.

Therefore, we, the AISI Foundation strongly urge you and our Muslim brothers all around the world to perform qurban with us in order to help one another, to compete in doing good deeds, to engage in dawah and to help our Muslim brothers and sisters in this blessed month of Zulhijjah.

WHO ARE WE?

AISI Foundation is a Foundation that focuses its works on managing the Islamic character development of students in Indonesia. It was started with the establishment of Muslim student’s community in the early 1990s. And the foundation was legally established in 2009.

Since 2017, started from Depok, a city in West Java, Indonesia AISI Foundation has been spreading and developing its works by cooperating with several social foundations of education and one of them is located in a remote area of NTT (Nusa Tenggara Timur) Province where Muslims live as minorities. AISI Foundation working together with other social foundations of education have provided trainings about the youth, and distributed animals for qurban. So, what they did has become the works of spreading sustainable Islamic dawah.

AISI Foundation as a non-profit organization focusing its works on social empowerment, will hold Spreading Qurban activity this year, 1441 H for minority Muslim living in remote areas of Flores Islands, from Manggarai Raya, Ende, Nagakeo, Ngada Sikka, East Flores to Alor and Timor Islands.

WHY ARE THEY CHOSEN?

NTT is one of the regions in Indonesia where minority Muslims live and need special care and more attention.

For us, Eid al-Adha in NTT is a precious opportunity to spread dawah and to strengthen the faith of Islam for Muslims and mualaf (Muslim converts) living there as well as to encourage Islamic dawah for other communities.

For them, it is not only to join in the celebration of Eid al-Adha, but also to fulfill their basic needs.

PROGRAMS

How is it collected and distributed?

• Donation will be collected until 7 Days before Eid al-Adha.

• Qurban  will be distributed on the 6 Day before Eid al-Adha pass through the  land and the sea for some small islands.

• Slaughtering and distribution at each location will be carried out by cooperating with local non-profit organizations.

• The main recipients of donation are minority Muslim society and the family of minority Muslim students who are in needs living in rural areas of NTT.

• The slaughtering and distribution will be reported digitally starting from the Day of Eid al-Adha to 30 days after the celebration.
