My name is Darren Lynch and I am a professional actor from Derby. This Summer I will be starring in a feature film called 'Safe Space' which will be used as a fundraising tool for a charity that supports children, who have lost a parent while serving in the British Armed Forces.
The production company, Lighthouse Entertainment CIC, which is a social enterprise set up to use entertainment to support good causes, is self funding the project and I would like to help them by raising funds to help with the production costs.

them by raising some extra funds.
I am reaching out to ask for your help in raising a little bit extra. In return I will give you exclusive photographs from behind the scenes of my time shooting 'Safe Space'.
'Safe Space' is as psychological thriller about an agoraphobic man called Steve Green, who is alone in his isolated farmhouse for the weekend, as his young daughter's (who are also his carers) are spending a few days with their grandmother, for a well earned break.
Two opportunist thieves break into the house thinking it is empty. However, when they discover Steve they are unsure of what to do at first.
After finding nothing of value in the house the thieves are informed that there is no cash in the house and his eldest daughter, who is in control of the family finances, has the bank and credit cards and PIN numbers with her. They decide to take Steve hostage and wait for his daughters to return. During this time they torment and ridicule Steve.
They threaten to kill him and his daughter's once they have the cards and PIN numbers. In order to save himself and his daughter's Steve realises he must face his fears and fight back.
I play the role of Mitch, one of the opportunist thieves in the film.
I can't wait to start shooting the film. I really like the script and all of the characters involved in the story. The location for the shoot is an actual remote farmhouse in the Orkney Islands.
Once the film is completed Lighthouse Entertainment CIC will make the film available exclusively to supporters of Scotty's Little Soldiers via a special licence.
The licence, which will be valid for 6 months will allow supporters to show the film to members of the public and charge a fee.
All proceeds from the showing of the film during the 6 month period will go straight to Scotty's Little Soldiers to help them with the amazing work that they do for children aged 0-18 who have lost a parent while serving in the British Armed Forces.
