Vintage Computer Federation, a 501(c)3 non-profit, came into possession of a Univac 1219 mainframe from the mid-1960s. This is a Sperry-Rand transistor computer designed for controlling weapons and radar on U.S. Navy battleships. There are members of our organization who were users of the system in their Navy days. Now we are beginning an active effort to restore the mainframe back into operational status! We have numerous spare parts (and an entire spare machine), however, it's going to cost money to have more electrical power installed, construct custom forklift pallets, order some custom-built replacement parts, rebuild power supplies, build an interactive educational exhibit, and so on. As such we hope to raise $5,000 -- one dollar for each of the calculations the original ENIAC could perform per second. Thank you.
