On the National Register of Historic Places Carlen House was the home of
Irish immigrant Michael Carlen and his wife Mary and their 12 children.
In 1923 Mobile County Public School Board acquired 38 Acres
from Michael Carlento build the largest high school in Mobile County.
Carlen House has been in states of deterioration since the museum closed more than a decade ago. Help us save this National Treasure and Irish history in Mobile.

Irish Network Mobile Bay has a mission to reach out to the 50,000 irish descendants of Mobile, Alabama to help with business development between Irealnd and Mobile.

To increase the local and worldwide knowledge of the influences of the Irish immigrants in Mobile to save historical buildings and create an Irish Museum.

Our mission also includes the promotion of local, national and international Irish dance, art, music, literature and culture.

The money we raise will allow us to officially host Irish dignitaires, businesses, artists, writers, musicians and to establish a sister cityship with Belfast based on our shared shipbuilding history.

We are planning an official launch event September 18, 2015 in Mobile and we plan to make this an impressive event that generates interests for tourism, investments and community development such that we can create new jobs, and an improved economy.
