UPDATE: Coconut has a congenial defect and because of it, both her hips are broken and will require TWO FHO surgeries. Her total surgery cost is going to be approximately $2400 plus her before care as she has a bone infection right now. Can you please find it in your heart to help? Give up that cup of coffee today? ORIGINAL STORY: Cocount is a female 1.5 year old terrier/westie mix
that was rescued from the San Bernardino Animal Shelter on 4/30/15.
When at the shelter is was discovered that she had a limp but she only
had hours before being euthanized so we went ahead and rescued her
despite a possible injury. We took her immediately to the vet where
xrays were taken. It was determined that Coconut has a fractured femur
head and will need a FHO (femoral head ostectomy) to begin her healing
process.
Unfortunately, as with all surgeries, they come with a price.
Her surgery is estimated to cost $1,150. This is a surgical procedure
that removes the head and neck from the femur to help alleviate pain. We are a 501(c3)
