Saving Waukegan’s Homeless Animals was set up to network the animals who are dumped, wandering around or confiscated in the city of Waukegan.
Donations made through this Fundrazr will go directly to WAGS (Waukegan Animals Getting Saved), which is a 501c3 non-profit organization.

You can donate online via this link, or send checks payable to Waukegan Animals Getting Saved (WAGS) to 128 N. West Street, Waukegan, IL 60085. If you are sending a check, please be sure to indicate that you are donating towards "Saving the Homeless Animals of Waukegan", and those funds will be specifically earmarked for this use. You can also feel free to mention a specific animal you see on the page. For example, we have donors offer to provide sponsorship for a particular dog or cat, which helps that animal's chances of being pulled out of Waukegan Police Animal Control by a local rescue (since they are often cash strapped with medical bills for their fosters).

Our mission is to get every homeless Waukegan animal into rescue that we possibly can. Please remember that Saving Waukegan’s Homeless Animals is run by VOLUNTEERS. We are a small group of volunteers, not employees, who run this page, as well as acting as contacts for interested rescue groups and/or fosters. We network the animals that come into Waukegan Animal Control and do our best to get them into rescue. The Director at Waukegan Animal Control as well as the other two Officers, work directly with over 70 local area rescues that will be happy to pull an animal you might be interested in fostering and/or adopting. We will try to respond promptly to your questions and comments and get you as much information as you need, but please bear with us as we also have full time jobs, families and animals of our own.
