SEND URGENT MEDICAL, SCHOOL & SOLAR SUPPLIES TO CUBA THIS AUGUST

As the United States escalates threats against Cuba, imposes a total fuel blockade, and stops goods from entering the island, we are taking urgently needed medical supplies and solar-powered equipment to Cuba in August. We will be delivering this in person to hospitals, schools, and other centres. Please donate to get life-saving materials to Cuba and break the blockade.

The situation in Cuba

Right now, Cuba has very limited fuel because of the US oil blockade on the island. The little fuel remaining is being distributed to keep hospitals functioning, buses running, and schools operating. Cubans are facing blackouts, limited water and food, and a genocidal situation aimed at harming an entire population.   This is crisis imposed on the Cuban people. People in Cuba are not able to get basic necessities because of the blockade. Despite this, for 66 years, Cuba has continued to provide world-class free healthcare for its population and continued to send thousands of international medical brigades to support countries across the world. Cuba has the highest literacy rate in the world at 100%. For decades, Cuba has been providing support for anti-colonial movements across the world and continues to support countries like Palestine, where it has been providing free education for students from since 1982.   Cuba has given so much to the world - we must return the solidarity.

How funds will be used.

We will be travelling to Cuba in August 2026, where we will deliver these supplies to hospitals, schools, and other centres in Havana - and to centres for distribution in the east of the island. All money donated here, and from in-person fundraisers, will be used to purchase supplies. Brigade members who will be travelling to Cuba are self-funding to deliver these supplies.

How you helped us last time..

In April, we travelled to Havana and Matanzas where we carried over one ton of supplies worth £34,500. These supplies were a life-line for hundreds of Cubans who are unable to access essential supplies for life.
