Support Transformative Mental Health Treatment in Palestine and the Rest of the Arab Region – Train Arab Therapists in MDMA-Assisted Therapy!
To bring MDMA-assisted therapy to the communities that need it most, we must ensure there are skilled, culturally attuned therapists ready to provide this treatment safely. We are raising funds to fully train 18 therapists, equipping them to bring this groundbreaking therapy to their communities. Your support will help make this vital mental health initiative a reality!
To ensure that the therapists we sponsor for the MDMA experiential training give back to their communities, we are implementing a community reciprocity pledge. Each sponsored therapist will commit to providing four (4) pro bono MDMA-assisted therapy sessions, inclu ding preparation and integration sessions, fo r individuals in their community who would otherwise be unable to access this care.

The Problem Ongoing trauma is a crisis affecting countless individuals across the Arab region, particularly in Palestine, where the ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians has been impacting their mental health for generations. To be more precise, 15-45% of individuals have PTSD in war-torn countries such as Iraq, Palestine, Syria and Lebanon. Despite the growing body of research showing the effectiveness of MDMA-assisted therapy in treating PTSD and complex trauma, there is a severe shortage of trained practitioners in the region who can provide this groundbreaking treatment.
The Solution We are launching an experiential MDMA-assisted therapy group training for 18 Arab mental health practitioners who have already completed the first phase of MDMA-Assisted Therapy Educational Program. This immersive training, led by expert MDMA-assisted therapy trainers, will provide these practitioners with hands-on experience and advanced therapeutic skills to support those suffering from severe trauma. By equipping these practitioners with the necessary training, we are paving the way for life-changing mental health services to reach those who need them.
The Gap While the educational foundation is in place, these practitioners cannot fully implement their skills without the essential experiential training component. The high costs of this training, including facilitation fees, research team, and travel expenses, create a barrier that prevents them from completing their journey toward becoming fully qualified MDMA-assisted therapists.
Additionally, this training will include a research study to assess the impact of culturally adapted MDMA-assisted therapy, further strengthening the case for its implementation in Arab communities.
The Impact Equipping Arab practitioners with these experiential skills will allow them to bring these transformative practices to their communities creating a ripple effect of healing as well as support the development of culturally attuned psychedelic training and treatment protocols. Additionally, this will address the underrepresentation of the Arab population in psychedelic research.
Donations will be collected by the Arab Psychedelic Society. The Arab Psychedelic Society is fiscally sponsored by The Nowak Society which is a Colorado grassroot nonprofit public benefit corporation qualified as exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
