On Monday April 10th, Special Olympics at UGA will be hosting our 8th Annual Home Runs for Hometown Rivals baseball game. We encourage anyone and everyone to come out and support our athletes! Tickets can be purchased by contacting an executive board member or through our EventBrite link, which will be posted soon!
This is an exciting event in which our Special Olympics athletes from rival schools in Athens-Clarke County will be paired with UGA athletes to play a baseball game on UGA’s Foley Field. This event is our largest fundraising campaign of the year, which helps us put on awesome events year round for our even more awesome athletes! After covering the cost of hosting our events, the money we raise is donated directly to the Athens-Clarke County chapter of Special Olympics to help send our athletes to the Special Olympics Games they excitedly anticipate. In recent years, the cost of sending our athletes to the Summer and Winter Games has increased significantly. This change has not only reignited our passion towards guaranteeing our athletes a successful and positive experience, but it makes you more important than ever. Please help us reach our goal of donating $10,000 at the end of this year by donating today. By doing so, you’ll be helping change the lives of our wonderful athletes.
